What's the curriculum?
In private schools there will be a curriculum in place designed by the Director and teachers. As students pay monthly fees for these schools, the curriculum is great to work from with some preparation of your own.
In public schools there is a curriculum in place for the Korean English teachers to follow. However, most foreign teachers are encouraged to teach out of the book and find it rather out-dated and non-functional. In some cases in public schools, you will be given carte blanche to create your own materials for each class. There is no curriculum in place and planning lessons can get a bit tricky.
