What types of positions does Cali Education offer?
 
Cali Education offers job positions within the private and public sector in South Korea.
 
Private Institutes or Hogwons (학원) are privately owned businesses that provide after-school education to children or adults. Many of these Hogwons cater specifically to students who want to improve their English abilities. Class sizes are smal, ranging from 3 students to 12 per classroom. 
 
Public School positions are available in Elementary, Middle and High schools. These schools may be co-educational, all-girls, or all-boys. Elementary school consists of kindergarten to grade 6. Middle School consists of grade 7 through grade 9. High School consists of grade 10 through grade 12.
Class size varies from about 10-20 students per class in rural schools, up to 35-40 in larger metropolitan areas.
 
 
Are there fees for using Cali Education Recruitment Services?                                                                                          
 
Cali Education Recruitment Services charges absolutely NO FEES for our services.
 
However, you will have to bear the costs of visa-processing fees to the Korean Consulate, as well as other documentation required in the visa process.

What qualifications do I need to be considered a candidate?                                                                                             
 
The minimum required to get an E-2 working visa in South Korea is a completed university degree in any field of study.
 
However, candidates with CELTA Certification, TESL/TESOL/TEFL certification, B.Ed, or Masters will be given preference.

What documents will I need to get an E-2 working visa?                                                                                                   
 
Here is a general list of documents required by schools and the Korean consulate.
 
  • Original University Degree
  • Criminal record check (completed within 3 months of working visa application)
  • 2 sets of sealed university transcripts
  • 2 reference letters
  • 2 colour passport photos
  • Visa processing fee (to be paid to Korean consulate)
  • Valid passport
  • Medical evaluation form filled out by doctor

When is the best time to apply?                                                                                                                                           
 
The best time to apply is NOW!
 
Private school positions are available all the time as they don't have semesters.
 
Public school positions usually open up in March during the start of the first semester, and September during the start of the second semester.
